SNCB/NMBS International passenger cars (I) and Sleeping cars (WL)

International carriages are born in the 30's. The objective of SNCB/NMBS was to offer more robust cars, built in metal. They were also designed for the safety and comfort of travelers.

Several generations of I cars will be born between seating and couchettes carriages.
There are also sleeper carriages but they are classified as "WL".

Night trains will be managed by SNCB/NMBS and later with Railtour. This agency was born in 1956. It offers night train for destinations in southern Europe.
At the end of 80's, Railtour has disappeared and SNCB/NMBS offered night trains until 2003.
