The seats are hard and poorly shaped in these motor units. They lack padding, and for longer journeys are very inadequate. The seats are far from being minimally adequate for IC trains on which they can be found in some cases, and they are not good for taller people.
There are only luggage racks above the seats and small dot-matrix signs in the trainsets. There are no power or USB outlets, tables and Wi-Fi.
The lighting appears to have two operating modes, a brighter mode and a dimmer mood lighting mode. The dimmer mode is comfortable for night time (however reading a book may be difficult due to absence of reading lights).
The trains are mostly quiet, but in curves they make significant vibrating noise. The door beeping sound is not too loud and intrusive like in newer trains.
The air conditioning keeps the train at a comfortable temperature.
