The berths were very comfortable, had no issues sleeping during the journey.
The coach was well decorated and mostly well appointed, but it is worth noting there is no A/C. Despite posters claiming that there is, there is also no functioning wifi. Heating is by coal stove, individual to each carriage.
It was generally clean and pleasant to spend time in, if a little 70s in decor, but I thought that was part of the charm. The lighting was soft, warm and yellow-ish, no harsh bright white lights here, although it can be a little dark in the corridor connections.
Was generally quiet, unless on some of the rougher track in Moldova, and when I had the windows open due to the heat.
Temperature was the main issue. The coal boiler was set way too high, and it was about 30 degrees inside despite it being January. I had the window open in my compartment to try and alleviate some of this, but was told to close it by the attendant. Naturally i just opened it again as soon as he left because the heat was unbearable.
