The seats are not the softest, thought they have a fairly good shape to them. You get huge legroom, really good recline, and a seat base extension. They are leather though, and you just keep sliding off of them. Bays of fours appear to not get the same treatment in terms of legrtoom though. Power sockets are located well, down between the seats, featuring a single Schuko plug for per seat.

Overhead racks are large enough for suitcases, and there are huge racks for even more bags, no complaints there.

A/C worked fine, and the Wi-Fi was also reliable for browsing and even some light video streaming. There are information displays, and announcements are made in multiple languages. The information displays do not have the slightest clue on what is going on, but that sadly appears to be a much broader issue with ÖBB. The ÖBB Railnet website is garbage though, barely works for tracking where your train is, which would be the only purpose of the damn thing.

Lavatories use buttons for everything, and props for that. The issue is, that a large chunk of toilets appear to be out of order at any given time, which is not too lovely.

Ride quality was buttery smooth and noise levels were also modest. Pressurisation is pretty damn good up at 230 km/h.

These sets are beginning to show their age, but I beleive they still hold their place.

I liked it. Spacious seats, table and everything I need.

The seats are quite comfortable, recline a good bit, 230V sockets under the seats, sunblinds on the windows and it's really quiet (except when other passengers being loud of course). Oh and there's at seat service from the restaurant. The only negative I can say about these Railjet sets is that the interior feels a little outdated by now but ÖBB has started to refresh and modernize them, though it will take a few years before all 1st gen Railjet sets go through this process. Overall, it's still a solid 1st class product.

Kényelmes ülések, tágas lábtér, puha karfa, nagy asztalok és lehajtható asztalkák. Futása kiváló, halkan és simán futnak jobb-rosszabb minőségű pályán, valamint nagyobb állomások váltókörzetében is.

Negatívuma, a poggyásztartó alatt elhelyezett, nem kapcsolható világítás, a "vallatófény". A világítás, illetve színválasztás ennek ellenére jelentősen kellemsebb első osztályon, mint másodosztályon, továbbá a kényelmet padlószőnyeg fokozza, csökkentve az utastérbe bejutó zajokat. Az alacsonyabb felső ablakvonal a kilátást ugyan rontja, viszont lehetővé tette a poggyásztartó alacsonyabbra való elhelyezését, mely által könnyebben férnek el rajta nagyobb méretű csomagok.

A sötétítőrolók fényáteresztése megosztó: sok utas erősebb sötétítést várna el, számomra viszont pozitívum, hogy nem zárnak el hermetikusan a külvilágtól, és beengedik a természetes világítást.

A klímaberendezés hidegben és melegben egyaránt kiválóan szabályozza a hőmérsékletet. A kocsik utastere tiszta, ápolt, és a járművek kora ellenére a műszaki vagy esztétikai kopások elhanyagolhatók. Az egyetlen visszatérő probléma a laza érintkezőjű 230 V-os csatlakozóknál jelentkezik. Ebből ráadásul két ülésre mindössze egy jut, tükrözve a kocsik közel húszéves konstrukcióját.

A kocsi automata audiovizuális utastájékoztatással van ellátva, mely jellemzően megfelelően működik. Utazás közben ételfelszolgálás biztosított az ülőhelyeken.

Siedzenia na podróż dłuższą niż 2-3 godziny w kwestii komfortu niczym się nie różnią niż zwykłe siedzenia w wagonach 2 klasy. Wagon cichy, klimatyzatory działają poprawnie.

Die Sitze in der first class sind aus meiner Sicht die besten im gesamten Zug, noch vor der business class. Sehr gemütlich, man kann locker eine sehr lange Fahrt aushalten. Lichtambiente ist wie in der eco eher so semi, insbesondere wenn das Licht auf Voll steht. Jedoch gibt es in der first blaue statt grüne "Zwischenelemente" im Lampenbereich, welche ein etwas angenehmeres Licht verbreiten. Jeder Platz hat eine 230V-Steckdose und eine Leselampe. Das Am-Platz-Service funktioniert in der Regel ganz gut, ist aber dennoch oftmals verbesserungswürdig.
