The cabin itself is nice and comfortable. It is a bit tight, and tricky to manouver around, but over all, a price I happily pay for the added privacy. There is a storage pouch for your belongings and paper trash bags (there is no space for a trash can in this cabin). You get a Schuko power socket and a USB-A port (should have been a C port), and a wireless charging port. You also get a tray table that doubles as a mirror.

THOUGH BE ADVISED: Do under no circumstances leave your cabin without:
A) Your cabin door SECURED OPEN (with the leather button strap)
B) Your keycard ON YOUR PERSON

The doors on these trains slide around in corners, and can easily lock you out of your cabin if you are not careful.

Storage is outside your cabin, lockers secured by your keycard. The shoe locker fits a pair of shoes and slippers or maybe a pair of boots. The bag locker is big enough for a standard carryon suitcase, and barely more. The lower berth also has some storage under it, though I was in an upper one for this journey.

Temperature control does not exist, you have like 7 vents in your cabin, only two of which are closeable. (I'd guess so you don't suffocate.) And temperature is controlled centrally, which would not be an issue, if it wasn't set so god damn low. There are no passenger displays inside the cabin, only out on the corridor. Not that any of this matters, because the train has not the slightest clue on where it is durint it's journes. And so neither does the ÖBB Railnet website or Scotty app help, because they are just as clueless as you and the train itself. Lighting brihgtness is controllable, and there is RGB mood lighing, which I quite enjoyed.

There are two lavs per coach, plus a room with a sink in it. The lavatories are identical, but for some reason, they are gendered. Nobody cared on my train though, and just (rightfully so) disregarded the signage. Oh, and do you want to brush your teeth? Well good f****** luck with that. Has the same awful sensor placement as the Railjet 2 sets, and my god, is it annoying. You can not properly lean over the sink, and when you try, you 1) miss the tap sensor, so the water just stops, so you 2) lean in too close, trigger the soap dispenser, which pumps handwash into your hair 3) your hand triggers the air blower, and now that blows either hot air, or if you managed to restart the tap, water into your face. I'd wholeheartedly give this train a 10 on equipment if the lavs did not want to actively exist to just annoy the living hell out of you. Also, bring slippers, you will want them for going to the bathroom.

But it is a Siemens Viaggio Next Level, so the coach itself rides silky smooth, and it's well insulated, even at 200 km/h in a tunnel. Never got to see it go 230 km/h sadly, even though we were on the Weststrecke, with just this Viaggio Next Level set and a Taurus. Pressure keeping is also great. One annoying thing was how the breakes groaned during intense breaking. Not enough to wake you from your sleep, but enough to be noticable, especially on rolling stock this new.

One last shoutout to Newrest for making you pack up your bedding like an hour before arrival, and taking your keycard, so that you can cuddle your luggage in your cabin.

Nagyon szuper ötlet a mini kabin és a sci-fi hatású új NJ vagonok is menők. Ám a kabin mérete szűkösebb, mint előre gondoltam, a szélessége kifejezetten keskeny, a hossza határeset volt 180 cm magassággal. A klímát nem lehetett szabályozni/lekapcsolni, ez néha túl hűvös volt. Egyébként nagyon jól felszerelt, van minden, ami kell.

Find ich grundsätzlich eine wahnsinnig gute Idee. Nur leider habe ich starke Rückenschmerzen bekommen als ich von Bregenz nach Wien gefahren bin. Ich will nicht zu früh judgen und werde auf jeden Fall nochmal fahren und ggf. meine Bewertung abändern. Bis dahin bleibt's erstmal bei der 5 bei Komfort!

Wenig Platz zum Liegen/Sitzen für alle über 1,80;
Ein- und ausklettern schwer;
Kaum Stauraum (besonders bei oberen Liegen);
Extrem hellhörig
Kabinentüren inzwischen hin und wieder beschädigt
Kabinen häufig stark unterkühlt, Temperatur kann nicht geregelt werden
Regelmäßige Probleme mit der Elektronik, sodass gerne 1x pro Fahrt in der Nacht sämtliche Lichter angehen und/oder laute Lautsprecherdurchsagen folgen

+ Lichteinstellungen sehr angenehm, dafür aber lautes Piepsen bei Bedienung, welches man ebenso durch die Mini Cabins durchhören kann

Eigentlich vergebe ich keine 10, aber die Lichteinstellungen in den kleinen Kabinen sind schön gemacht.
