Aesthetically, the new nightjet cars are very appealing, the design makes one feel right at home. The beds are a bit hard to sleep on. The compartment temperature can be controlled but is usually good anyway.
One problem is that the compartment is missing a night light. Leaving the curtains open will wake you up early in the morning while leaving them closed will make it difficult to get down the ladder from the top bunks.
In conclusion, the new nightjet couchettes are welcoming options to spend the night in on a trip overall.
