Je to vlastně první nízkopodlažní vlak, který na západě Čech jezdil, takže zpočátku to bylo zjevení, které pohodlím nepředčila ani později v okolí nasazená řada 814 ČD. Přesto se velkém komfortu mluvit nedá. Hlavní velkou výhodou jsou velká okna ke sledování krajiny.

Nepohodlná Německá dieselová tramvaj.
U sedadel skoro úplně chybí legroom, jediné co je u sedadel dobré je u některých sedadel možnost polohovatelnosti.
Ohledně vybavení, zásuvky pouze u některých sedadel, na celý vlak pouze zhruba 5 zásuvek. Jako plus bych uvedl háky na kola.
K osvětlení nemám co vytknout, jen je v noci občas až děsivě tma.
Hlučností je toto při jízdě hlavně na šumavských tratí na špunty do uší.
Klimatizace sice v MJ je, ale ne moc často funguje, a v létě když je vlak plný stává se z této jednotky pařník.
