Seats were great, you have plenty of storage. They recline by the base sliding forward via the button in the armrest. Numbering of the seats is not the one standard you'd see around Hungary, Austria and Germany, they number from 1 counting up, do pay attention to that. Only window seats appear to have a power socket (a French one compatible with most if not all EU sockets). Seating comes in 2+2 and 1+3 (what the hell???).

I personally did not have any issues with A/C, but I was travelling in the morning.
Lighting is funky as hell, the LEDs are of mismatched color temperature, and sometimes they just pluse. No, they do not vibrate with 50 Hz, they pulse as if you put a breathing effect on on your gaming PC's RGB lights. There were no information screens at all, which makes tracking the progress of your journey quite difficult as all announcements are made in French only on domestic runs.

Lavatories empty onto the tracks, and have these great foot buttons for operation, though they are damn loud.

Ride quality gets extremely poor once you get up to 160 km/h, and so do noise levels.

Coaches already in their fifties. Even though they undercame several refurbishments, the only good quality left is the seat's comfort, one of the bests you can find on the SNCF network. Otherwise, they are noisy, A/C is poor and not always reliable. Not all seats equipped with power sockets (no USB format by the way). Disposition is partially 2+2 and partially 1+3 in the Intercites stock. While seated in a 1+3 configuration (which you can't decide to choose or not since you don't pick your seat in 2nd class), you will always be facing someone else, and if you are in a row of three, you will not have a table. Also the toilets have to be manually unlocked by train attendants at the beginning of a journey, a process that can often take a while. However, despite their age, I never had an issue with it. Mostly clean and always functional.
